Concept
Periferic 2 was a performance festival which tried to « gather » artistic attitudes related to PERIPHERY and its relation to the CENTER.
Performance art was chosen due to its power of penetration into the current background. It is alive and similar to life, it is enticing for young artists while being less costly than installation art or video art.
The organizers intention was that the entire manifestation could grow up into a “first step” in developing a cultural infrastructure which could professionally promote contemporary art events.
